I’m so glad you’re here.
My journey
Hello and welcome to the Harrt Recovery Center community. My name is Billie Carroll and I am a certified peer recovery specialist, the founder and CEO of our center. I have also been serving the Richmond recovery community for over 8 years as a yoga/meditation instructor and Ayurveda consultant. I started the center to help others who were interested in taking their recovery to the next level. I offer trauma sensitive/attuned therapeutic yoga/meditation for health and wellness. In addition, I offer specialized training for peers who work in mental and behavioral health.
The training and classes we provide at the center are created using a specialized therapeutic model which focuses on substance use disorder, process addictions, eating disorders, mental/behavioral health, and trauma.
Currently I offer several classes across Richmond , VA. You can find me in studios, on-line, correctional institutions, homeless shelters, mental health facilities, addiction treatment centers and domestic violence shelters. I also host several workshops and retreats throughout the year.
I was one of the first teachers to receive certification in Yoga and Neuroscience, and I offer training to the Peer Recovery Community in Virginia. I serve on the PRS Stakeholder Round Table and I am an active member of Yoga Alliance.
